About One PPF

One PPF is crafted by installers, for installers. Our film is 8-mil yet highly elastic, designed for smooth installations with minimal effort. The enhanced flexibility reduces stretch lines, makes edge wrapping easier, and improves overall forgiveness during application. This elasticity also helps the film absorb rock chips and scratches more effectively than thicker alternatives.

Dry Installation Tips & Techniques

Adhesive Activation

One PPF’s adhesive is designed for dry installation, activated by controlled pressure and heat. For best results:

• Ensure the surface is clean and dry before starting.

• Use a clean microfiber cloth to dust the panel and remove any lint or debris.

• Apply firm yet even pressure with your squeegee to activate the adhesive.

If Assistance is Needed:

While One PPF is designed for dry installation, you can introduce a slip solution if extra flexibility is required during positioning.

Solution Recommendations:

• Slip Solution: Mix 0.07mL of J&J Baby Shampoo with 32 fl. oz. of distilled water.

• Tack Solution: Mix 4mL of 70/30% isopropyl alcohol with 32 fl. oz. of distilled water.

Tips for Success:

• If the film isn’t sliding easily, use a light mist of the slip solution to improve positioning.

• If the film isn’t tacking properly, increase the alcohol content slightly.

• For stubborn edges or corners, apply gentle heat to relax the film and improve adhesion.

Liner Removal

All Gloss One PPF films include a transparent liner designed to preserve gloss quality and reduce tunneling.

Key Tips:

• Store film tightly rolled to minimize tunneling.

• If tunneling occurs, allow the film to rest flat before installation; these marks will naturally disappear post-installation.

• When plotting, always remove the cap sheet liner before loading the film to avoid static buildup and potential damage.

Plotting & Cutting Tips

• Remove the cap sheet liner from films before plotting.

• Always perform a test cut before cutting full panels. Reduce blade force slightly below standard clear PPF settings.

• Due to One PPF’s advanced TPU construction, less pressure may be required when cutting. Using 30° stainless or carbon blades (or 45° for some installers) with frequent blade snapping will improve cutting precision.

Installation Tips

1. Next-Generation Flexibility: One PPF’s 8-mil, highly elastic design allows for easier stretching with minimal color distortion — perfect for dry installs.

2. Effortless Edge Wrapping: One PPF’s Edge-Sealing Technology and enhanced elasticity allow edges to naturally conform to surfaces, reducing the need for excessive heat or pressure.

3. Precision Cutting: Thanks to One PPF’s design, cutting requires minimal resistance. Always use fresh blades for optimal results.

4. Vehicle Disassembly: Removing parts like mirrors, emblems, or handles can enhance film alignment and reduce the risk of lifting or curling.

5. Film Orientation: Align seams with factory lines or ensure they face downward from the viewer’s eye level for a cleaner finish.
