About One PPF

One PPF is designed by installers, for installers. Our film is 8.5-mil yet highly elastic, providing easier edge wrapping, fewer stretch lines, and improved forgiveness during installation. This enhanced elasticity helps the film absorb rock chips and scratches more effectively than thicker alternatives.

Install Solution Recommendations

One PPF features a reduced adhesive until activated. For best results:

• Slip Solution: Mix 2mL of J&J Baby Shampoo with 32 fl. oz. of distilled water.

• Tack Solution: Mix 4 fl. oz. of 70/30% isopropyl alcohol with 32 fl. oz. of distilled water.

Tips:

• If the film sticks too easily or shows stretch lines, increase the slip slightly.

• If the film isn’t tacking properly, decrease the alcohol content.

• Flush edges with distilled water to improve tack solution performance. For stubborn edges, let them dry naturally for a few hours — use light heat when applying them down.

Liner Removal

All Gloss & Satin One PPF films have a cap sheet liner to ensure maximum quality. The liner is tightly bonded to reduce tunneling (air channels that may mark the film).

Key Tips:

• Store film tightly rolled to prevent tunneling.

• When plotting, always remove the clear liner before loading the film to prevent static electricity damage.

Plotting & Cutting Tips

• Remove the cap sheet liner from Gloss films before plotting.

• Always perform a test cut before cutting full panels.

Installation Tips

1. Join the Next Generation: One PPF’s 8-mil,ultra-elastic design  makes stretching easier. Little to no color distortion when over stretching due to next generation development.

2. Improved Edge Wrapping: The Edge-sealing Technology and increased elasticity helps edges wrap more easily. Stretch the film to the edge for a self-wrapping effect.

3. Cutting Considerations: With the films design, expect little resistance when cutting. Fresh blades are always recommended.

4. Vehicle Disassembly: Removing vehicle parts like mirrors, emblems, or handles will improve installation quality and reduce curling risks.

5. Film Orientation: Seams should align with other seams, or face downward from the viewer’s eye level.
