Our Mission & Development

Innovation to Installation

The development of ONE PPF began with a fundamental question: What if we could re-engineer paint protection film—not just for durability—but for confident, full-color vehicle transformations?

Traditional PPFs rely on multi-layer constructions, often separating the color layer from the protection layer. While this works for basic applications, it introduces a host of compromises: inconsistent clarity, lower elasticity, edge-lifting, and a disconnect between form and function. We chose a different path—a ground-up rebuild, designed entirely from the perspective of real-world installers.

ONE PPF is a true single-layer TPU construction, uniquely infused with real automotive paint resin, not a surface coating or wrap-like pigment. This innovation gives it unparalleled optical clarity, deeper color saturation, and a gloss or matte finish that mimics OEM paint—not vinyl.

The elasticity was engineered to behave intuitively in high-stretch areas, reducing stress whitening and shrink-back. Our advanced edge seal technology prevents premature lift, even in complex panels. And the hydrophobic topcoat ensures not only easy maintenance but a premium feel.

What makes ONE PPF revolutionary isn’t just its performance—it’s the fact that it consolidates protection and color into one integrated layer, simplifying installation while elevating results. No stacked layers. No gimmicks. Just true color change, real protection, and unmatched finish—engineered for speed, clarity, and confidence.

A Deeper Dive into the Development of ONE PPF: A Material-Driven Reinvention of Paint Protection

The development of ONE PPF was not about repackaging existing PPF technology—it was about engineering a material system from scratch, specifically for full color change applications. Traditional PPFs are built for clear protection, while vinyl wraps are built for aesthetics. Neither addresses the increasing demand for color-change films that also offer the durability, finish, and performance of true PPF. That’s where ONE PPF began: at the intersection of innovation and necessity.

1. Core Material: TPU Backbone

At the heart of ONE PPF is a high-performance aliphatic TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane), selected for its superior resistance to UV degradation, yellowing, and cracking. Unlike aromatic TPU or hybrid blends, aliphatic TPU retains optical clarity and elasticity over time, making it the gold standard for premium paint protection.

We didn’t settle for an off-the-shelf TPU. We worked with raw material suppliers to tailor a single-layer TPU formulation that could carry pigment without separating it into a distinct ink or adhesive layer. This was a critical innovation—achieving color without compromising structural performance.

2. Integrated Real Paint Resin Pigmentation

Instead of screen-printed or laminated colored layers like other films, ONE PPF uses a proprietary paint-resin pigmentation process, integrating real automotive-grade pigment dispersions directly into the TPU matrix during extrusion. This allows:

  • True depth and clarity of color (like actual painted panels).
  • Reduced surface tension variations, which improves the gloss or matte uniformity.
  • No delamination risk, since the pigment is embedded in the same unified polymer layer.

These pigments are solvent-based, automotive-compatible polyol dispersions, stabilized with proprietary additives to prevent migration, fading, and distortion during heat forming.

3. Topcoat Chemistry: Hydrophobic + Self-Healing

The outer layer of ONE PPF is finished with a multi-functional topcoat composed of:

  • A fluorinated polyurethane clear coat for advanced hydrophobicity (contact angles > 110°).
  • Micro-repairing polymers that activate under mild heat, allowing self-healing of swirl marks and light scratches.
  • UV-absorbing nanomaterials to preserve both the pigment and TPU structure underneath.

This topcoat is not just a cosmetic layer—it chemically bonds with the underlying TPU during the curing stage, ensuring cohesion without cracking or flaking under tension.

4. Adhesive System: Installer-First Design

The adhesive is a repositionable, pressure-sensitive acrylic system, designed with:

  • Controlled tack for fast positioning on large panels.
  • Air-release channels (without affecting optical clarity) to reduce bubbles and creases.
  • Low initial grab with high ultimate bond, allowing easy correction but strong long-term adhesion.
  • Edge-seal enhanced chemistry to resist water intrusion, especially in high-stretch areas.

5. Film Construction: Single-Layer, Zero Stack

Most colored PPFs are built using multiple stacked layers—TPU + pigment layer + adhesive—leading to issues like delamination, stretch failure, and visual distortion. With ONE PPF, everything is integrated into a single-layer TPU film, reducing installation complexity while improving clarity and performance.

Built for Color Change. Engineered for Confidence.

ONE PPF represents a new category: true color-change paint protection film, not a vinyl hybrid or a layered compromise. With real paint resin pigmentation, a durable self-healing topcoat, and a TPU backbone engineered for formability, clarity, and resistance—this is material science brought to the installer’s hands.
